COMPETITION FOR THE URBAN PARK OF VALDEBEBAS

Valdebebas today is a fragmented, inexpressive landscape with no identity. Its central location in relation to the airport area, the orography, the vestiges of its water system and the great horizons, provide the basis for a revival of this landscape; to turn it into a catalyst for quality of life and additional value to the new neighborhood. 'Litoral' brings to life the landscape. It generates 12 km of new banks and 4 km of new horizon, diversifying the conditions of use and construction and forging the identity of the future city based on two paradigms of the beginning of the XXI century: the water and passive energies; providing a coast which Madrid has always dreamed of. "Litoral" offers a structure for the development of the park and maintains an open program for the rest of the spaces.
